We work with building physics to ensure that buildings stay warm, airtight and durable over time. We assist with both new construction and refurbishment, providing solutions for roofs, external walls and basements, among other things. The aim is to reduce the risk of moisture, heat loss and damage, so the building performs well in practice. We provide support at every stage, from early assessment to detailed design.
We provide thorough due diligence analyses that give you the knowledge you need for safe investments in buildings and real estate. Our services include technical, environmental and sustainability assessments. For particularly complex decisions, we can combine all these areas into one comprehensive due diligence review.
We provide electrical engineering solutions for projects of all sizes. We support the entire process, from requirement specifications and functional descriptions to detailed design and follow-up on site. Our services include design and consulting for electrical installations and integrated technical building installations (ITB), with a focus on functionality and safety.
We offer comprehensive energy solutions for both buildings and larger areas, assisting with everything from energy efficiency, energy supply and energy storage to financing and implementation. We provide energy consulting at every stage of a project, aiming for more predictable and cost-effective energy performance. Through mapping and analysis, we identify measures that are realistic to implement and tailored to the building’s use and condition. We also plan energy solutions at an area level, where local renewable energy sources can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
We offer fire safety consulting for projects of varying size and complexity. We provide support at every stage, from early feasibility studies to new construction and the transformation of existing buildings, developing solutions in close dialogue with the client. Our work includes risk analyses, expert assessments and fire engineering simulations to ensure safe, durable buildings. We work across disciplines and also contribute to research and knowledge development in fire engineering.
We design HVAC and plumbing systems for public and private clients across all types of buildings and facilities. Our engineers provide solutions for heating, cooling and ventilation, fire suppression/sprinkler systems, as well as water supply, wastewater and stormwater management.
Asplan Viak’s lighting design team is one of Norway’s largest and leading centres of expertise in lighting design. Good lighting design helps create inspiring environments, indoors and outdoors, that encourage use and give projects a unique identity.
We provide consulting and documentation in noise and acoustics, with extensive experience in projects requiring the highest level of Norwegian regulatory approval. We carry out noise assessments, calculations and documentation for all types of noise sources at every planning level, from municipal area plans to building-permit level. We also assist with building and room acoustics throughout all design phases, including follow-up during construction and verification measurements of the acoustic conditions achieved.
We offer project administration for both large and small building projects, for public and private clients. As project managers, we plan the project from start to finish: from engaging consultants and preparing tender documents to contracting the main contractor and following up during construction. We also provide design management to ensure good coordination between disciplines, using a PRINCE2-based methodology for efficient delivery. As part of a multidisciplinary environment, we act as a clear link between the client and other resources throughout the process.
